Dear Yuli,
I am pleased to let you know that we have received a grant from AIDA to provide fellowships for three students from your school to attend workshops at Haystack this summer. These AIDA scholars must be students studying in either the textile or jewelry departments.
The fellowship will provide for room, board and tuition for a two-week workshop. The accommodation is in a double room with a bath. If the recipient wants to stay in a more expensive accommodation, he or she pays the difference. In addition, Haystack will provide up to $150 toward shop fees/art materials. AIDA will also be providing a $1,000 travel stipend.
Your school will be responsible for selecting the three students. We will need to have completed applications by March 15. We are enclosing a few catalogs; this information is also available on-line.
We are grateful to Aviva Ben-Sira and AIDA for making these fellowships possible and delighted that students from Shenkar will be able to come to Haystack this summer. Please let me know if you have any questions.
